I have heard a lot in the news lately about the upcoming Satanist Convention in Boston Mass April 28-30, 2023. It is a sold-out event! I guess the fact that it is sold out must be related to the fact that seemingly every news station keeps reporting regarding the reduction of Americans indicating that they hold “religion” to be important.

I do not know, maybe I am a part of that. The other day, my trainer asked me if I went to church on Easter. I said I did but I am not very religious. I explained to him that I love and follow Jesus but I despise religion. To me, one church is as good as another. I certainly have suffered a lot at the hands of religious people. Do not get me started on that!

Back to the Satanists. Now, if you think that these Satanists are going to have an orgy, Black Mass, or sacrifice animals or a young, virgin woman to Lucifer, that is not the case. These “modern” Satanists do not believe that. Here is their mission statement from their website (SatanCon About us – TST:

The mission of The Satanic Temple is to encourage benevolence and empathy among all people, reject tyrannical authority, advocate practical common sense and justice, and be directed by the human conscience to undertake noble pursuits.

It all sounds good! However, I think they are deluding themselves that such lofty aspirations can be obtained as an organization or individually without the direction of Providence. In truth, they are just another atheistic organization who believe themselves to be gods. These Satanists don’t even believe in Satan! I believe that Kevin Spacey was right when he said in The Usual Suspects :

The devil’s biggest trick was convincing the world that he did not exist!

When we reject the input of the One Above All, human beings will devolve to socialism and humanism–unable to see beyond themselves. If you read Mao’s Little Red Book or the writings of Karl Marx, they too are full of lofty and worthy aspirations. But none of them ever materialized. Even countries like Denmark and Sweden (which have screamed many times that they are NOT socialist countries) have never reached the greatness that they believed that a godless, fair and equitable society should obtain.

Do not be deceived! There is a force that would stop us (both as a nation and as individuals) from knowing the Divine and obtaining all that He has for us. Jesus talked about him repeatedly. This force is not to be played with but it is also not to be feared if we confront it in the power of the Holy Spirit.

I guess according to the verse below, the devil is going to have a feast in front of him for this Satancon and any others to come!
