The Left loves to decry anyone of Christian faith who takes office. They scream that they are going to impose their views of right and wrong on others. They scream that those of Christian faith want to establish nothing less than a theocracy. There maybe something to that, there may not be, it depends on the people and the circumstances. The Left certainly does not care if atheists impose their beliefs on others.

The founding fathers did not want a state sponsored religion either. They knew that a secular government–founded on the Word of God– would provide the greatest freedom for everyone. They also knew that you cannot impose a relationship with God on anyone. It must be chosen. Their desire to not impose religious beliefs on others never stopped them from pursuing the dictates of their own consciences or grow their relationships with the One-Above-All. It never stopped any of our presidents from Washington on from mentioning our Judeo-Christian values in their inaugural addresses or calling on Him for guidance.

According to the following article from Christianity Today (What Is Christian Nationalism? | Christianity Today) under the guise of “Christian nationalism” many people believe that Christianity should have a “privileged place in society”. Menofvalue.com does not agree with this. I believe that all beliefs need to be respected, without anyone being forced to do anything against their conscience. While I definitely believe that truth lies within Jesus and our Judeo-Christian values, I believe that no law should disrespect anyone based on their values or lack thereof. I also believe that our Judeo-Christian ethics have made this the most successful nation in providing freedom and wealth to its citizens. Finding what this means in all the complexities of life is job security for lawyers!

This article also says that Christian nationalists want their own court systems and governments. So do Muslims who want to beat their wives and not be prosecuted for honor-killing their daughters or sons! Giving equal protections under the law to women and children does not disrespect Muslim beliefs! While I am not saying that Christians want to have the right to beat their wives or kill their children, likewise, Christians should not have their own court systems or governments.

The Lord wants a love relationship with us. Love relationships can only be based on a free will and choice. While I hope we all see the value of a relationship with the One-Above-All, no one can or has the right to make that choice for you.
