Is This the End?

With all these developments in Afghanistan, the last two weeks have been very frightening. It seems to be getting worse and worse everyday. I had a conversation with a family member about all of this. I told her that I think that all of this is God’s punishment for Democrats stealing the election, the laws in California being changed to encourage homosexuals to seduce minors, and Biden generally not supporting Israel. I also told her that I think things are going to get much worse before they get better. I told her to put her seatbelt on and hang on tightly to the Lord and His Word, it is going to get bumpy!

Now, I am not a prophet. I do not know what intention the Lord has for all this. I certainly hope that someone comes up with a way to remove all the American weapons from the Taliban, destroy the Taliban, and generally help the Afghan people to establish their own democratic and free society. Also, I am not saying that every mistake a person or a nation makes is a sign that the Lord is trying to punish them. I definitely pray for Joe Biden even though I did not vote for him. We are to pray for whoever is in power, its Biblical! However its clear that this mess is going to take years to fix, if it ever is fixed.

What this is definitely is not, is the end. It is not the end of our problems, its not the last mistake he will make, and it is not the end of the world. It may be the beginning of the end, I have no idea! Messiah may come tomorrow, I dont know! However, we are to continue to try to serve our neighbor, love our enemies, and love the Lord with our whole hearts, minds, and souls. We are to continue to be the Lord’s hands in the world–not run away from its problems.

It is an awful place that Mr. Biden has put us into. He deserves to be forced to resign–but that would put Kamala Harris in office. She would be worse! However, we cannot bury our heads in the sand or move to Canada We are called to continue working in the world, not run away, not just watch, not condemn and judge.

Romans 8:38-39: For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord
