Build Lean Muscle Fast and Burn Body Fat

By Emily Marie Collins

As a fitness expert I know this title contradicts itself in all manners. Why? Well in short… to burn body fat you need to reduce your calorie intake so calories in (your body) must not exceed the amount of calories out therefore working at a calorie deficit over the day/week..make sense?

To build lean muscle you need an overload of calories because you cannot build a muscle with insufficient fuel it just won’t work.

So you are probably asking yourself why I decided to head my title with the above! If I am honest – to simply grab your attention so that I can highlight the truths..do’s and don’ts of that phrase which we see so often on the internet or other various forms of marketing.

So how can we build lean muscle for a more sculpted appearance. Building lean muscle will give a toned and strong physique. There are ways you can lose body fat and keep the lean muscle you already have though good diet and exercise.

I am going to help you with a few secrets of mine. Click here

Always choose natural or healthier sources of foods to either fuel or re fuel before or after a workout. Just because you may have smashed it up at the gym doesn’t mean you can go eat high sugary or refined carbs.

If you can’t stick to the natural form of carbohydrates then go for wholegrain sources of rice and oats – quinoa is a high protein grain and other forms of grains such as buckwheat and spelt are also highly nutritious. To build lean muscle and burn body fat you need to keep carbs regulated and make sure they are the nutritious kind.

1. Good Proteins/Bad Proteins

Protein is essential for the muscle! Never go for processed meats – look at the back of the pack..they are full of bulking agents and preservatives. These kind of ingredients are not great for the body – processed meats also contain too much sugar and salts. All this will lower your fat burning rate! Building lean muscle requires good quality sources of protein.

2. Good fats/Bad fats

Fats are essential in fact there are fats out there called EFA’S (ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS) These are found in natural sources they help take essential vitamins to our muscles and cells helping build and repair.

We all know bad fats! Fast foods, processed foods, confectionary, chips etc. If you know this already then just say no to bad fats.

In addition to your diet exercise for burning fat and keeping lean muscle is ESSENTIAL. My tip is always use weights in your workout – this will burn calories and boost your metabolism – make sure your using all the big muscle groups.

Finish with High Intensity Interval training – this will have your fat burning rocketing through the roof!!
