Lately, the midwest has been the source of a lot of rioting, looting, and general anarchy. This is undeniable even by the leftist media—even though at first they said it was all peaceful protesting. Then they conceded that it was violent but they said that its all Donald Trump’s fault. For example, the Lincoln Project blamed Trump for the Kenosha shootings (https://floridianpress.com/2020/08/lincoln-project-blames-trump-for-kenosha-shooting/). Trump is getting blamed for everything in an attempt to get him out of office so that the Left (through sleepy Joe Biden and via academia, government, and the media) can continue to dismantle the Judeo-Christian values of the nation, just like Obama tried to do.

I am curious how those who support and encourage the war against the Judeo-Christian values that made this nation great have been borrowing from classic films and literature when it comes to their tactics and goals. So I have been reviewing some classic books on totalitarianism and oppression. Among those books which I have revisited are those by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and George Orwell. I have seen a lot of parallels to what is happening now and the government and media in George Orwell’s 1984.

One parallel with this book that I have seen, is that they (the media and academia through rioters and looters) have attempted to remove history they don’t like and that does not fit their narrative. Now I have been down to New Orleans and I have seen statues to Confederate heroes and I felt uncomfortable seeing them. I thought they should be in museums because those who do not know history are bound to repeat it! When looking at pictures of our founding fathers, I have also remembered learning how great men like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson owned slaves. I also remember learning how there were free blacks who owned slaves and how African people sold each other into slavery and how there are slaves in Africa even today. I did not like learning that, but history is what it is and does not have to be likeable.

The world of the novel, 1984 was also fast and loose with history and facts and made history and current events fit the narrative of the party. The history they did not like, they changed. The main character could not even know for sure if the correct year was 1984 as it was all up to the party and it did change based on the party’s needs. Likewise, If the media and academia have their way, Trump will never have done ANYTHING good for the United States because they will have vaporized him and everything good he did. The Left will also vaporize the Civil War, the Indian Wars, the history of the Democratic party and many other inconvenient truths.

Another sociological /psychological tactic used in the novel of 1984, in order to create true equality, was to create classes and a hierarchy. There was the proletariat (the working class) and the members of, “the party” who had special privileges and rights. Above the party members were the party managers, and above them was Big Brother, himself.

Similarly today, the leftist members of academia and the media and government have encouraged socialism and equality through making their areas of power, less equal and more opportunistic. For example, California (one of the most leftist states in the United States) has recently enacted a bill to allow the LGBTQ and pedophile communities special rights when caught seducing and having sex with a minor https://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/2020/september/california-passes-bill-to-soften-criminal-penalties-for-lgbt-adults-who-have-sex-with-minors. So, guess if you are straight and you are a pedophile, you are still going to get in the same amount of trouble, but not if you are gay or lesbian. Certainly, given the opportunity, the leftists in academia and government and the media will attempt to create more ineqality in hopes of having more equality.

These are just two ways I believe the goals of the leftist world of 1984 are reflecting the new world order of today. Generally speaking, whatever tool the party wanted to use to oppress the people and maintain power they would use whether it be time or dates or history or class warfare or privileges. They would even use mathematics, as the main character would learn. If the party wanted 2+2 to equal 5, that is what it would be. There is evidence that we are heading that way.

I choose 2+2=4. This will be true whether or not George Soros tells me otherwise. This will be true whether or not Lady Gaga tells me otherwise. This will be true whether or not CNN tells me otherwise. This will be true whether or not even Franklin Graham tells me otherwise. This will be true whether or not Barack Obama tells me otherwise.
