Women and Family: Words to Live By Brad Weisman
As a parent or even a kid you can’t help but pay attention to other people’s words. Sometimes they leave a lasting impression that is very positive. Another person’s words can often help shape who we are.
So much of our lives are influenced by other people’s words that it is truly amazing. It is not always fun to read, but “words” at times answer life’s riddles. I spend a great deal of time putting extra weight against words that change my thinking all day long. I thought it would be cool to give you guys my short list and many of these words do not come from me. I am way too dumb to say anything below that is that intelligent. In fact, I struggle with rhyming words and spelling the word txe…I mean the:)
Below are some words that paint vivid pictures in ways to think and I will site those that said them:
• “Hit emm between the eyes without speaking” – Dad • “He who hesitates is lost” – maybe Truman? • “A mansion of misery or a shoebox of happiness” – Me • “Remain quiet and let them tell you the answers” – Dad • “When I breathe I sleep” – some Greek dude – have no idea what is name is…just like the quote….guy had rad hair • “When the truth is wrong cut it loose” – Gavin Degraw • “When you dance you can sing and play basketball like my dog Angel” – Adam Carl • “No fast Starts” – Dad • “If you keep your head up while all others about you are losing theirs than you are a man my son – Rudyard Kipling
I know I could make this list pages and pages; however the point is words have a way of building character if you embrace them. We all hear, but do we really listen? I question that every day. Do yourself a favor and don’t just hear….start listening!
