Women and Family: Create The Position That Does Not Exist by Brad Weisman

The best football players create opportunities. Running backs find holes on the field and bury through them. Receivers make catches that were not meant to be caught. Quarterbacks make throws my threading needles in limited space. Defenders extend their reach to grab guys from a greater distance than their true abilities. End point – each are innovators on the field creating opportunities that did not seem to exist. Guess what – this all translates in the real world for people in business and in real life.

We often see there is a line of people looking for jobs and in truth few will fill the open slot. Perhaps there is a new approach? Go to a company and tell them what role they need to fill and be the person who can close the gap. Find the open slot that is obvious that nobody is even discussing and bury through that opening. The employee of the future is not applying for jobs anymore, but rather calling the plays. They are in fact creating the position and now showing how they can fill those shoes. Thus, creating a reason for a company to think about what they disregarded. By being that applicant of intelligence you demonstrate initiative…….possible brilliance…..and even better showing you can think for yourself and not just stand in line. I wish all people standing in line much luck, however no luck needed for the person who is creating opportunities that were not on the radar. That individual is going to get a job fast…..and make headway quickly.

Now, with that said finding your position in the working world is part of filling a slot. Finding your position in life is an even bigger task. It is so critical to understand who you are and where you belong in life. Are you a:

– Leader

– Follower

– Idea Person?

– Volunteer to humanity?

It is so critical you become who you were meant to be. There is no time limit as to when this can occur, however surround yourself with people who provide a positive impact. As you absorb good vibes in life it becomes

increasingly clear as to where you belong. Those positive vibes must come from people doing good things beyond what they do in a job. I dear you take a volunteer job and learn. Have you done volunteer work in your life time? Being around those who need your help breeds great qualities. Let’s all contribute to carving out who we are and making the world a better place.
