You know how a lot of science fiction stories go.  Some geeky guy are messing around with something and wind up changing the whole world.  As crazy as that sounds it’s happened a few times with guys like Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison, and nerds like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates.
